Galaxidi sits on the northern shore of the Corinthian Gulf, a small harbour town of stone houses and tiled roofs facing the water. The hotel is seventy metres from the old port, on a quiet street set back from the front.
That distance is the whole point. You are a minute from the harbour, and far enough from it to sleep.
What the walk looks like
Turn out of our entrance and the street drops gently towards the water. The harbour curves round in front of you, fishing boats and yachts tied up along the quay, with tavernas and cafes lining the front.
In the evening the whole town walks this stretch. It is the shortest and best introduction to Galaxidi we can give you.
Getting your bearings
The old town climbs the hill behind the harbour, its lanes narrow enough that walking is easier than driving. Leave the car with us, parking is free directly in front of the entrance, and go on foot from there.
