Galaxidi was a shipping town long before it was a place people came to on holiday, and the Maritime Museum is where that history is kept.
Why it is worth an hour
The collection covers the years when Galaxidi built and sailed its own merchant fleet, and the town grew wealthy enough to put up the stone houses you can still see along the water.
It is the one museum in town we send almost every guest to, and it is a few minutes on foot from our front door.
Getting there
Walk down to the waterfront and follow it round. Ask at reception and we will point you the right way, or check the opening hours for you before you set off.
